Island Awareness (3/16)

This week we accomplished recording a song for our video. We asked my classmate, who plays the ukulele, to play for us and it was a success! We had someone play the ukulele because then it will prevent us from being copyright. One thing that has gone wrong this week would be the editing of our video. Something went wrong which caused most of the the editing to be erased. We are lucky though because Martin remembers what to put into the film editing. What challenge have we faced? As a group and individually as well, we had a hard time looking for someone who can play an instrument for us. This week, I learned the importance of originality for our video. Over the past week my skills of communicating to other people outside our group, like talking to Shawn about the recording, improved. I'm a really shy person and I don't usually interact with people I don't know or not close with. I believe that my group isn't on time for on-track delivery. We will be presenting our vid...

My group and I have accomplished the start of our editing for the video. Today, we, as a whole group, reviewed the edit Martin did. Overall, it looked really nice. Another accomplishment would be that Tommie emailed Ms. Irinaka concerning the details of our video. Throughout this week, nothing much has gone wrong and nothing challenging came into our way. Through the process, I learned that we should've started filming earlier so we wont have to rush our editing. As for skill improvement, I don't believe that any of it improved. Since my group and I aren't really close to finishing the edit, I don't think we would be on track for an on-time delivery. I'm still hoping that we'll still be able to send in our video and have it aired before 3rd quarter ends. As for adjustments on the timeline, I think we'll just need to quicken our editing before the due date. Our next action is to have our videos done by next week and have KSPN review it.

My group and I have accomplished filming the rest of our videos. We weren't complete during the filming, but we (Andre, Martin, and Isa) had a lot of fun! One thing that has gone wrong would be not having everyone in the group in join in on our filming. But Martin and Andre have assigned Tommie and John Teo a job, so they will have a contribution to this project. A challenge we have faced would be filming last minute before Andre and Martin left for Guam. Through the process I learned that we should have filmed earlier so we would have put so much more effort into our video and have more to time to edit. Over the past week, I believe that I my skills hasn't really improved. I believe that our team is on track for an on-time delivery. As for adjustments on our timeline, it'll probably change depending on when we finish editing the video and having it aired. Our next action is to send our video to KSPN to have them review it, whether it's good enough or if any changes...

What my group and I accomplished during this past week was finalizing our calendar. Through this week, nothing has gone wrong and hopefully nothing does in the future. In addition to this, there wasn't anything challenging this week though it was difficult deciding what is a good time for me to film with my group. It was a difficult time deciding the time and date for our film day because we all have our own things to do for school and outside activities. I learned that I can communicate better with my other group members and mentees. Throughout this week, my time management skills has improved. I used to not have much time because I didn't try to manage my time. Yes, my group and I are are on track for an on-time delivery. We also do not need any adjustments to our schedule. My group and I's next action is to start filming and I'm really excited for it.

We have accomplished receiving a reply from Ms. Kay. She replied saying that our script looks great, so with that said we will start filming on our set days. We have accomplished with our team-building game today, two truths and one lie. We were able to know more about mentees and that was a great experience. I hope that next week will be as great as today's team-building. One thing that has gone wrong would be her late reply, but that has been resolved. A challenge we have faced would be waiting for Ms. Kay's reply. We thought we wouldn't receive an email from her this week, but thank goodness we did. During the wait, I felt nervous because we haven't done much with our project and it is almost March. Through the process, I learned that patience is key. My group and I just had to be patient with Ms. Kay. I don't think any of my skills improved this week. Yes, we are on track for an on time delivery. I believe that there aren't any ...

My group and I have accomplished sending in our script to KSPN, to Kay specifically. Kay is the person from Visitor's Channel. In addition to our accomplishment, our team building time is a success. Today's team building session was better than last week. It was full of laughs and joy. A challenge we have faced would be waiting for a response from KSPN. Through the process, I learned that it is important to be on time with our delivery. I also learned that I should open up more to my group mates and mentees as it can strengthen our bond. One of my skills would be talking freely and I believe that has improved this week because I'm starting to talk to our mentees more. I believe that my group and I aren't on track for an on-time delivery because we haven't started filming our film project. I don't think that adjustments are to be made on the timeline. Our next action would be setting exact filming days.

This week, we have finally bonded with our mentees! We did a team building game and it was really fun knowing that we will get along with laughs and progress in the future. What has gone wrong would be receiving the wrong the contact information of the Visitor's Channel , so this week we had to call them again to get the correct information. I was tasked to contact KSPN2, but I was having troubles because they weren't answering and that was a challenge for me. Through the process, I learned that I should have a set time to contact a government number. I don't recall any skill improvement this week. Since we have finally contacted KSPN, I believe that we will be on track for an on-time delivery. An adjustment that needs to be made on the timeline would be scheduling our meeting with KSPN. Our next action would be sending KSPN the requirements (script) needed and the meeting.
