Island Awareness (3/16)

This week we accomplished recording a song for our video. We asked my classmate, who plays the ukulele, to play for us and it was a success! We had someone play the ukulele because then it will prevent us from being copyright. One thing that has gone wrong this week would be the editing of our video. Something went wrong which caused most of the the editing to be erased. We are lucky though because Martin remembers what to put into the film editing. What challenge have we faced? As a group and individually as well, we had a hard time looking for someone who can play an instrument for us. This week, I learned the importance of originality for our video. Over the past week my skills of communicating to other people outside our group, like talking to Shawn about the recording, improved. I'm a really shy person and I don't usually interact with people I don't know or not close with. I believe that my group isn't on time for on-track delivery. We will be presenting our video during the beginning of 4th quarter but we hope that we'll have it aired on KSPN around the same time period. As for adjustments, it will depend on when KSPN will air our video. Our next action is to have our video submitted to KSPN.

We have accomplished getting the camera ready to film for our video and the getting the number for KSPN. Two things has actually has gone wrong. The first that went wrong would be one of our teammates got the wrong number to contact the KSPN Visitor's Channel. The second thing that went wrong would be the fact that the Visitor's Channel already has a traffic video. My team and I faced the challenge of contacting the wrong number. Our team member actually called a hardware store instead of KSPN, which was just a confusion. We learned that we need to find the right contact number next time. As of right now, we are not on time with an on-track delivery because we need to make a lot of changes and add-ons to our project calendar. An adjustment needed would be changing the date of filming. Our next action would meeting with KSPN.

Island Awareness (2/2)

My group and I have accomplished sending in our script to KSPN, to Kay specifically. Kay is the person from Visitor's Channel. In addition to our accomplishment, our team building time is a success. Today's team building session was better than last week. It was full of laughs and joy. A challenge we have faced would be waiting for a response from KSPN. Through the process, I learned that it is important to be on time with our delivery. I also learned that I should open up more to my group mates and mentees as it can strengthen our bond. One of my skills would be talking freely and I believe that has improved this week because I'm starting to talk to our mentees more. I believe that my group and I aren't on track for an on-time delivery because we haven't started filming our film project. I don't think that adjustments are to be made on the timeline. Our next action would be setting exact filming days.

Island Awareness (3/2)

My group and I have accomplished filming the rest of our videos. We weren't complete during the filming, but we (Andre, Martin, and Isa) had a lot of fun! One thing that has gone wrong would be not having everyone in the group in join in on our filming. But Martin and Andre have assigned Tommie and John Teo a job, so they will have a contribution to this project. A challenge we have faced would be filming last minute before Andre and Martin left for Guam. Through the process I learned that we should have filmed earlier so we would have put so much more effort into our video and have more to time to edit. Over the past week, I believe that I my skills hasn't really improved. I believe that our team is on track for an on-time delivery. As for adjustments on our timeline, it'll probably change depending on when we finish editing the video and having it aired. Our next action is to send our video to KSPN to have them review it, whether it's good enough or if any changes...
